Police Make Quick Arrest in Temple Hills Homicide

Prince George’s County Maryland… The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested Daniel Andrew Gardner, 22, in connection with the murder of Charles Raphael Hunter, 20, that occurred early this morning in Temple Hills, Maryland.

On November 13, 2011, at approximately 2:17 a.m., patrol officers responded to the 3100 block of Good Hope Avenue for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered Hunter, of the 2400 block of Vermont Avenue, Landover, Maryland, lying on the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.


Homicide detectives quickly developed Gardner as a suspect, and took him into custody a short time later. Gardner has been charged with 1st Degree Murder; he was remanded to the Prince George's County Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
