UPDATE: PGPD Investigates Assault in Fort Washington (Composite Sketch Released)

The Prince George’s County Police Department is searching for the man who assaulted a teenage girl as she walked to her school bus stop in Fort Washington.

On January 17, 2013, around 6:30 am, the female victim was approached by an adult male near Lourdes Drive and Hickory Drive.   The suspect grabbed the girl, causing them both to fall to the ground.  She was able to kick her attacker and escape.  The victim told her father who called police.

The PGPD positioned marked cruisers at the three bus stops in the vicinity of the assault this afternoon. Police officers are also actively canvassing the area and following up on leads.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 170 pounds, in his late 20s to early 30s.  He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.
