The Prince George's County Police Department made quick arrests in an Accokeek bank robbery.  The suspects are identified as 19-year-old Emonnie Latasha Barnes of the 3600 block of Hayes Street in Northeast Washington, 21-year-old Octavious Brown of the 2300 block of Tuemmler Avenue in Landover, 25-year-old Lavonne Geneva Flemming and 18-year-old Derrick Lamont Kearney, both of the 1300 block of Columbia Road in Northwest Washington.

On March 25, 2014, at about 1:50 pm, patrol officers were called to the Old Line Bank in the 15800 block of Livingston Road for a robbery.  The preliminary investigation reveals Barnes initially posed as a bank customer. When she walked out of the bank, Brown walked in.  Brown approached a teller and passed a note demanding money.  He jumped in a getaway car with an undisclosed amount of money.

Bank employees were able to give patrol officers a description of the suspects’ car.  A short time later, an officer spotted and stopped the car.  The four suspects were inside and were all arrested. Detectives have since discovered the getaway car was stolen.

The four suspects face multiple charges related to the robbery. They remain in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
