Detectives Investigate Homicide in Hyattsville

The Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Hyattsville on Wednesday. The victim is 20-year-old Conrad Cole of Annapolis Road in Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At about 1:00 pm on June 1st, patrol officers were called to the intersection of 69th Place and Greenvale Parkway in Hyattsville for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found Cole in a roadway suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later at a hospital. 

The preliminary investigation reveals Cole was walking on 69th Place near Greenvale Parkway toward a basketball court when he was shot by the suspect. The suspect then sped away from the area. The motive is under investigation.
