Husband in Custody in Domestic-Related Homicide

The Homicide Unit arrested an Oxon Hill man in connection with the murder of his estranged wife. The suspect is 41-year-old Daron Lincoln Odom of the 7400 block of Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill. The victim is 41-year-old Jamila Odom of Beechwood Court in Waldorf.  

At about 10:10 pm on July 9th, patrol officers responded to the 7400 block of Oxon Hill Road for the report of a shooting. They found the victim inside of a car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene. After the shooting, the suspect drove to the District IV police station in Oxon Hill and turned himself in. 
                
The suspect is charged with first and second degree murder. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
