Detectives Investigate Homicide in Hyattsville City

The Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide in Hyattsville City on Saturday morning. The victim is 20-year-old Brandon Eduardo Sorto of 29th Ave in Hyattsville. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On July 30th, at about 10:00 am, patrol officers and Hyattsville City Police Department officers were called to the 3100 block of Oliver Street for an unresponsive male on the ground. When they arrived, officers found the victim outside suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
