Victim in May Assault Dies of Injuries

The Homicide Unit is working to identify the suspect or suspects who assaulted a man in Capitol Heights in May. The victim died of his injuries on October 28th. The victim is 57-year-old James Walls of Urn Street in Capitol Heights.
On May 24th, at about 3:45 pm, deputies with the Office of the Sheriff were called to the 4300 block of Quinn Street. Deputies found the victim outside suffering from trauma. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died last Friday. An autopsy this week revealed the victim’s cause of death was head trauma. The manner of death was ruled a homicide.
